The historic 1876 Heritage Inn is the oldest operating hotel in Volusia County and one of the oldest in the State of Florida. It is a contributory historic property in the recently approved Orange City Historic District. Current owners/innkeepers, Amy and Randall Farley, welcome inquisitive visitors to come in and see this historic building. They would also welcome anyone that can add to the history of this building by sharing pictures, experience, or more.

In 2003, at the age of 83 and still running the hotel, Carol Forrer sold it to Amy and Randall Farley. The Farley’s intend to continue operating the building as a hotel. Some of the historic rooms still have the original board and batten walls and hard wood floors. Over half the 30 hotel rooms have been renovated in the past two years and there are plans to convert existing commercial space to add an additional 7 rooms.
